I think free online dating is one of the best things that this dating world has ever thought up. It's amazing to think that you could sit in the privacy of your own home and look up profiles of someone that you might be interested in and contact. One night many years ago I was walking home after a drunken night with my cousin down past the old factories where we used to live. My opinion about dating services had always been the same. I had always believed that dating services were pointless and if you wanted to have a sweet romance with another person then the right way to go about it was to stop being lazy and look for somebody adorable and hopefully have a connection of which you can take things further. It's that simple. I had never been involved in dating services and I never intended to be, unless it was for fun of course. I would probably not actually take dating services very seriously, for example a blind date, because I just see them as a complete waste of time unless you decide to go out for a night instead of sitting at home or watching television or playing bingo. Anyways, a friend of mine was bored last night and did actually suggest to go on a blind date just for the fun and we put on a bet to see who would get a passionate embrace first before the end of the night. Whoever lost had to go on another blind date and make arrangements to meet one of the guys they met on the new blind date. Sure enough, of course, without doubt and expected, I lost the bet. This sucked because I really did not want to go on another blind date. I just saw them as completely pointless, but I suppose I did not really have much choice. So, I went on another date and to my surprise it was not actually that bad. I met a guy called James and he was just so nice and sweet it was great. He was a real gentleman and he actually interested me because he had a lot of original things to say an was not boring at all. The conversation between us flowed very easily an I do not think there was a single moment where there was an awkward silence which was a huge bonus. I actually became glad I lost the bet because now I knew I could go on another date with James which I was actually really looking forward to. It turned out that me and James went on quite a few dates and we really did get on like a house on fire which was just brilliant. Last night I was sitting alone in my room watching American idol and all of a sudden this cute girl entered the audition room to sing a few songs by her favourite singer Britney Spears. She started off hitting such high and low notes that all the judges could not help but adore this young teenager. I looked on in amazement and she got her golden ticket towards Hollywood. This girl seemed genuinely passionate about singing and she really gave it her best shot and was rewarded for the effort she displayed.
