My husband and I are celebrating our 3rd anniversary this weekend. We are going to Santa Barbara to stay at a very romantic bed and breakfast on the beach. It's a true celebration for both of us, we met 4 years ago on an online dating site after coming out of terrible first marriages. My ex husband had left me and my children to marry a 23 year old girl that he had recently gotten pregnant and his wife had become tired of being married to a doctor and his having such long work hours. My heart had been shattered and my life was in ruins and he was in shock and still had not really come to terms with the fact that he was now a single man and part of an online dating site.

We were matched exactly one month form the day that I first joined the online dating site. He emailed me a fewshort kind of shy emails, just to introduce himself and tell me that he had enjoyed my profile. I was hesitant to reply to him but after the third email arrived and he never got rude or pushy I decided he seemed decent enough and I emailed him back. We began an online relationship, never meeting in person but sending each other long emails about our lives and our every day goings on. I began to depend on these emails looking forward to them every day and needing to hear from him. His emails became part of my everyday life and soon we were chatting on the messenger and hating to get off and go to bed.

We met in person four months after the day we were matched up. It was a long time butin that time we got to know each other so much better because of that. By the time we met we knew each others souls and it was like we had known each other for years. It only tool 1 month of dating for the proposal to come, he invited me to a salsa dance clubbut instead drove me to a secluded spot on the beach were he asked me to be his wife. We still can't believe that we have an online dating site to thank for all of this hapiness and joy. So we tell everyone we know about them and we wish them all the same hapiness that we have.
