My Adult Outlooks

I have been a member of a few dating websites since the beginning of the year when my new years resolution was not to be alone any more and concentrate on finding the love of my life. So it's been almost en entire year that I have been a member of those dating websites, in that time I have had a lot of dates and I have met a lot of guys but still have yet to meet that one special man. Or maybe I am asking for too much but I don't get why I can't find a man that is done with dating and ready to settle down. Every time that I met a new guy on one of the dating websites I would get my hopes up and think that this might just be the one. I would start day dreaming and thinking that we would go out for a candle light dinner and that during that dinner we would both realize that we were meant for each other and that true love would bloom from there.

When the actual date came around it would then be a normal date, dinner followed by a movie or dancing. Sometimes the guys wouldn't even ask me out on a second date and if they ever did it would only be once or twice and after that nothing. It seems like they would just grow bored and move on to the next match that the dating websites had set them up with. I never even met a guy in this whole year that talked about wanting to get married and have kids, they all wanted to continue living the single life and meeting as many women as possible. It was two different things, one it was fun because I met many men and went out a lot but two it was sad because it goes to show me that I might be single for a long time to come and no matter what my resolution was I might not be able to make it happen after all.

Now it's almost new years again and I think this time all I might resolve to do is find someone that I adore and want to spend time with even if it's not to settle down. I think I just need to take things nice and slow and then see where it goes from there.
