My Adult Outlooks

I am a divorced woman now and have to get used to going back to the singles lifestyle which is not going to be easy for me to do. Its been so long since I have had to worry about dating that I can't even remember how it is done, yet I know that in order to get past this sad stage of my life I will need to do it. It's going to be really strange to be dating single guys my age, it really seems to me that at 45 no one should be dating but at home with their spouses. Life though can bring some really unexpected surprises your way and though one day you may be living the perfect life in a big beautiful home with a wonderful husband, the next day that wonderful husband can tell you that he is dating the cute girl that just began to work for him and that he is leaving you to marry her.

So here I am a 40 year old woman that is way past her prime yet still has to find herself and put herself out there in the dating scene so that she does not have to spend the rest of her life alone and unhappy. How I wish my best friend Annie was here, I know that she would give me a big hug and tell me that it's all going to be okay and that I have nothing at all to fear. She would tell me that getting out there and dating single men is going to be so much fun and that she knows that I will find and even better man next time around, a man that will not hurt me the way Mark did. But Annie is not here because last year she moved to New York and I just don't have the heart to call her and tell her what has happened to me.

So I am going to go at this dating single guys thing all alone and maybe I will find that right man, the night in shining armor that is missing in my life. He will spend the rest of my life loving and kissing me and he will know just where to tickle me to make me laugh and what my favorite ice cream is and he will take me away from all of this dating single men deal and we will live happily ever after.
